Batch that get info about the usb drive from regisry win xp

Specs: Windows XP

need a simple batch-file to get info about all the flash drives that conects now from the registry to variable , that i can do manipulate .
the info that i need is: drive letter and his serial number and meby it's impassable in loop ?

I'm not too sure about this but seeing how no one else has answered this, I'd like to say that I'm not sure if it is possible to do with batch. Getting the serial number from an external device like a flash drive is something meant more for a more advanced program written in C or some other language. It would be impossible to make a simple batch file to do it, if at all, and I can't really think of why you would need serial numbers from flash drives being connected to your computer other than for less than ethical needs.

I'm not going to write anything to meet your needs but you might want to have a look at one of my old scripts. It works on xp and reportedly vista - win7 status unknown. It's purpose was to list connected single partition(most are) flash drives, it will not work with usb hdds or mulit-partitioned flash drives.
