Solved [BATCH] need 3rd party tool to dl files from net

Specs: Windows Vista home premium sp 2
Hello,
does anyone know of some programs (that i can use in batch obviously) to download files and server responses of the net. Here's what it needs to be able to do...
connect to an https://
be able to send POST
not be wget (tried it and it wont connect now because i wrecked a cert i think with openssl)
and yeah thanks in advance for all help, and if someone wants to help me with my wget problems it would be much appreciated

No because everyone just uses curl. It's the best for raw HTTP(S) requests. If you're only doing HTTP, you can just use telnet.

https and i thought telnet didn't send you back info, doesn't strip doesn't download

telnet -f log.txt hostname

then you strip the header with a for /f "skip=n" ...

Did you try curl? You aren't going to find anything better.

He specifically mentioned he didn't want to use wget, even though wget does support SSL if compiled with support for OpenSSL. Maybe his version wasn't compiled as such.
