Batch file to close running process

Specs: Windows 7
is pskill /im outlook.exe valid? If not how would I state it.

I need to kill outlook and ACT! before my back up runs. I have a batch file that kills the running programs, but not the processes which is also required

Create a batch file to run below command or add below command to existing batch file.

taskkill /im outlook.exe

This will terminate the process for "outlook.exe" from system.
