Batch file stuff symbols

Specs: Windows XP
Ok I had this batch file that showed a cool progress bar and I was just wondering how he does it.

The symbols are

the u thingies show a solid bar, and the 2's show like a bar but with little hole things, so it looks like a progress bar.

If you know how to do this, or any other cool ones post!

Any mind readers out there?

If at first you don't succeed, you're about average.

Ok, i'm a mind reader ?
Well, we'll see

I'm guessing you want to add a progress bar into DOS.

For example, you wan't to set a timer to wait 10 seconds.
You want the progress bar to reach the end in 10 seconds then do something else...

In other words words.

Start program
Progress bar shows (lasting 10 seconds)
Progress bar complete
msg * Whatever.

& BatchfileCreator is trying to say that to make the symbols that looks like progress bars you have to use ÛÛÛ²²²²²²²²²²²²²²²²²

Hang on, i'm gonna have a mess about & see if i can make some code to give you an example.
ok, just worked on one.
heres the code.

echo Û
echo ÛÛ
echo ÛÛÛ
echo ÛÛÛÛ
echo ÛÛÛÛÛ

Thats the quickest way i know of doing a timer & displaying an echo. as you see at the top there will be a progress bar...

Hope that helps or gives you an idea.

for Û Turn on Numberlock
Then hold alt and press 0219 on the number pad then let go of Alt
There you will create a Û

For the little 2, you do the same but its Alt + 253
Then let go of alt & a ² will appear

Hope that helps.
