Specs: Windows XP
Ok hi all, is it possible to list a dirs contents then write that to a text file and put each item in the list into information.

So say the dir has 100 zip files etc, it woulod list the dirs contents then put each item into a database sort of thing. And remove all the file extensions from the txt list.

eg i would end up with this..
<game name="123"> <description></description>
<crc></crc> <manufacturer></manufacturer>
<genre></genre> </game>
<game name="abc"> <description></description>
<crc></crc> <manufacturer></manufacturer>
<genre></genre> </game>

Then rename the file to new.xml

Getting a directory listing into a text file is dead easy.

It's not at all obvious where info like 'description' 'crc' etc is going to come from.

If at first you don't succeed, you're about average.
