does any one have any idea on how to create a barcode translator for c++

im currently making a program that when a number is entered ,by scanning a barcode, it is referenced to another number displays both #s, date and time scanned, and the original barcode and prints out on paper...and i need to get the original number back to barcode.... ideas???

i got everything but the number to barcode translation part

You can use an existing library to generate barcode or make your own routine. Some printers will also generate barcodes.

I've seen barcode fonts, so I'd think that would be the easiest solution.
