Hi Tyler,

When you get the msg, are you booting on floppy or hard drive?

OK maybe you want to try out these suggestions:

To load DOS from a floppy disk, you need a few things set up.
1. Your computer must be attempting to boot from the disk
2. The floppy disk must have certain files on it. (not just command.com)

1. When your computer is starting, it should display a message like "press F2 to enter settings" or maybe "press DEL to enter BIOS". Press this button while the message is visible. If it doesn't say what button to press, try these:
DEL
F1-F12
Once into BIOS, you should have some nice little menu system. Using the arrow keys (it usually displays somewhere on the screen what keys do what) find the area that changes the "boot order" or the "boot section". Sometimes the section is just labeled "boot".
There should be a list of drives there. You need to make sure that the first thing on the list is the floppy drive. If it's not, play with it until it is.

2. Download this:
http://csislabs.palomar.edu/Student/Utilities/boot622.exe
And run it with a floppy disk in the drive. It will make the disk into a DOS 6.22 boot disk.
Pop the disk in the computer and reboot.

That should be it! Once up and running, you can try switching to the C drive and you should be able to figure out what files are missing or whats gone wrong. Either way, this should get you on your feet.

Good luck!

BIRDMAN-
I need you help again.
I got it to a setup screen by pushing some keys. I dont' know what they are. I smashed the left side of the keyboard. But whatever. There is nothing that says boot on it. The setup page says:

Date MM/DD/YY..............12/9/8
Time HH:MM:SS..............2:29:00

Diskette 1.................360K
Diskette 2.................720K

Disk 1.....................1 (A bunch of #s here)
Disk 2.....................None

Video......................Color 40

Base memory................640K
Extended Memory............0K
Error halt.................No halt on any errors
Speed Select...............High

I also have the boot622.exe on a disk now.

I'm just clueless about the part where you say something about boot
