Comment:

I need a program to run on a laptop and monitor which files have changed and which have been created for multiple separate directories.
When the laptop is connected to the network it needs to copy over the updated files to update the archive on the network.

Are you asking about how to write such an application, or are you asking for one? If it's the former, I suggest you just go with something already out there. If it's the latter, you're on the wrong forum. I suggest you ask on the WinXP one.
