Hi

I have built an application that builds a java executable. It is a large application as it holds a lot of data in memory. I am getting strange results as XP is only allowing me to address up to 1GB of RAM on my laptop

Anyway the 1GB limit causes the application to run very slowly , if at all. I am familiar with the 32bit limitations on XP amd have tried the /3GB switch but nothing seems to make any difference. I am running the java app with Apache Tomcat and have tried adjusting upping the settings in there but then it doesnt start suggesting it is something a bit more fundamental stopping the java.exe growing above 1 gig

Any help would be appreciated

Many Thnx
