first off: i am familiar with oracle 8i, mysql, and sql coding ... very familiar. i have also used php and c++ but not that much....that being said....

we're looking at creating a simple ms access database for something quite small, yet important. i need to create a program -- visual windows style -- that has buttons, each of which would open a smaller program that would allow users to enter data to the database from a more text-box friendly style.

any direction on how to start a project like this is appreciated.

Have you thought of Visual DBase (with the optional purchase of the VDB Compiler)?
