Correct

For v1..... iPhone Video Recorder (a pay for app)
For v2..... Cycorder (free)

Until I upgraded to 2.1 I used iPhone Video Recorder now I am forced to
use Cycorder as iVR does not support 2.1. iVR is by far the better
application as it offers more features.

No but there are third party apps that will allow you to capture video with
your iphone.

I was just about to post the same answer. I don't know how good those
extra applications are though. They probably just take a series of

quality of the video will depend on how many photos the iPhone's camera
can take per second.
