Speaking of spam... just in case anyone else enjoys bargains. There are some of the new apple headphones on Amazon from a private seller for $44 shipped US... unboxed, without the spare stainless steel screens. I bought one for $43, seems like a good deal to me. I cannot imagine having to replace the stainless steel transducer port covers unless they are misplaced during cleaning. The transducer housings are narrow/compact, and the smallest rubber ear pieces are smaller than the smallest pair that come with Sennheiser CX400s. The Apple in-ear headphones include two transducers per earbud. Some complain about the poor bass response, and unfortunately/apparently the iPhone does not yet have a simple bass booster or an inexpensive equalizer application. They sound OK to me.
