Hiya,

is there any software for a jailbroken Iphone for ICQ other
IM-protocols? Those from the appstore aren't that great.

The free edition of IM+ is okay, but I hate that it loses the connection
after the phone goes into standby. Backgrounder doesn't seem to help
with the connection-loss...?

regards

they all should be supporting push and staying connected, if they
haven't already. i think im+ is one of the few that have yet to release
an update but they've announced it.
