Took my iphone back to the Apple store, they suggested a new SIM from O2. Got a new SIM from O2 and it didn't make any difference. Went back to the Apple store and they gave me a new iphone, it recognised both the new & old SIMS. So far so good... Got home and tried the update again... exactly the same thing happened "The sim card inserted in this iphone does not appear to be supported", neither SIM will work! That is why I did the update at the store. The guy offered, before I had a chance to ask. Now...
