OS: windows mobile 2003 or so
CPU/Ram: axim x50v
Comment:

i have the x50v and installed primer pdf reader . I clicked on one of the buttons to see what it did and it popped up a list of fonts that were used or exchanged. Now, that window won't close. There is no x for it, it doesn't go beyond the extent of the screen. I closed Primer(I think, since I just pressed the x). I tried pulling the battery for a few seconds. What I want to know is, does wm2003 have something like the task manager that i can view and kill programs running in the background? Failing that, how do I get rid of it? Thanks.

And, aside from this, is there a list of software that is compatible for the x50v, I have seen some older programs that work, some that don't and others that have versions for ARM,MIPS,SSH. These are instruction sets i'm guessing, the axim x50v has an intel proc so would that be a mips compatible?

Windows mobile does come wth a task manager it's in the settings window under system > memory > running programs. However, this is not a process manager but Airscanner mobile antivirus pro comes with a good process manager built in as well as a good lot of other eatures too. Its freeware from www.snapfiles.com

Did you try a soft reset of the device to get rid of it?

You should be ok running any software designed for the ARM processor.
