Hi,

I currently have an HP iPaq H5450 which is WI-FI enabled.

My Bedroom Desktop PC is on 24hrs a day and it is the pc that has the Cable Internet Modem connected to it. It also shares the connection with my sisters PC by a crossover cable.

would it be possible to install a wireless network card in my Bedroom PC in order to wirelesly access the internet from my iPaq while i am at home?

NOT a wireless access point by a wireless access point (add-hoc mode)

How would i go about in setting it up and what whould be a good wi-fi card to buy if this is possible?

Thanks

Best bet is to go with a wirless router, that
way that pc can be shut down or if it
crashes the rest of the net is fine, not to
mention the preformance will be a lot
better and it will be cheaper, depending
on what stuff you buy. i think linksys
wirless g routrs are going for $75 at
microcenter, and radioshack. This is
also a good way if you get more wirless
stuff.

I do belive though that the adhoc should
work, i havn't tried using adhoc to connect
to internet on another pc, but as long as
its setup to use dhcp it should work fine.
