Comment:

I have an ipaq and a notebook with windows xp.

The notebook is configured for stand-alone mode and a workstation on ms sbs2000.

My outlook calendar and tasks are shared with another member of staff.

Now every time I restart the PC in stand-alone mode, wcescomm.exe kicks in and tries to connect to the LAN and grabs the modem port - there is a message in event viewer to let me know that "no domain controller was able to process my request to log onto the domain". The ipaq is not even attached to the notebook.

If I go to task list / processes and manually end wcescomm.exe I am able to use my modem to log onto the internet and collect email.

Please can someone let me know how to stop wcescomm from kicking in at startup if I'm not connectimg to the LAN.
