urgent help needed for IPAQ emulator

hi,
i am a graduate student in computer science and i had to develop java applications for IPAQ. i cannot afford to buy an ipaq. i understood from the net that there are some emulators which i can use to test my programs. but i am not able to find any in the net. can anyone suggest how i can find the emulator for IPAQ?

Absolutely no way to do it. You'll have to buy an iPAQ. There are no ROM's, emulators, etc. It emulates a real life device, using the device.

Hi,

I am also a graduate student writing my thesis about mobile e-security.

Problem for the Ipaq is that you have a PersonalJava version implemented like JeodeRuntime and there isn't an emulator for it.

There is however an emulator for PersonalJava from Sun (look on the website) and also an emulator for PocketPC 2002. But unfortunately no combination.

I have bougth an Ipaq :-)

Hi,
I'm currently doing my 3rd year project and my title is "Fast Food Ordering System Using PDA" Actually I'm facing the same problem as your's that is to find iPAQ based emulator. I'ed tried PALM based emulator but the output is not that attractive. If you found any iPAQ emulator please inform me or else I have to buy an iPAQ....:o)

An Emulator does exist. You do require the Microsoft embedded tools (VB + C++) along with the Pocket PC 2002 SDK Kit. I use it alot and it is great.
