Upgrade to Pocket PC 2003

I'm trying to upgrade my Bluetooth Ipaq 3870 to Pocket PC 2003. I have received the cd from HP and the Ipaq connects happily through the cradle as it always has. The problem is that halfway through the upgrade process I get an error report saying 'Com Port not found'. How can this be when the Ipaq has always connected correctly through the very same usb and Activesync connects perfectly? Any pointers appreciated.

did you follow the instructions? I think it states that you need to disable activesync? and also i think there is the option to do it via usb but its on a pull down box..? If not just plug in your comm port connection instead of the usb one? Matt
