Got the sony clie N770c/u with all cds and its said on the box its compatible with windows xp. I have a problem though, wondering if anyone can help me.(PLEASEEEE!!) Everytime i try to transfer mp3s to the clie. the message
"The media is not available because it lacks copyright or is invalid"

Since making your own MP3's IS legal but unless you use a new software won't include the licensing tags, there is an easy alternative. Get a memory stick reader for your desktop and just copy the mp3's directly. The memory stick will appear as just another disk and you can drag and drop them. Just make sure you put them in the right directory within the memory stick.
Please note people, not all MP3's are either downloaded from Kazaa or purchased "legaly" as Travis put it. I had over 20gb of MP3's on my computers back in 1996 LONG before the RIAA came up with license tags, and long before kazaa and cable modems (back when a 28.8bps modem was a SCREAMER) and they where ALL ripped on a 2x Sony Spressa recorder from CD's I own.
