Springboard GPS on a laptop?

I've got a Magellan Springboard GPS adapter for my visor, I was wondering if there was a way to make it work on my laptop (pc card). I know PCMCIA and springboard formats are similar, is there some kind of adapter out there? any info is appreciated.
