I have a Packard Bell Pocket PC. Problem is i need more memory to install a bigger map as i use it as a GPS system.
The question is what type of memory do i need, there is a 2.5cm slot at the top of the device, so i assumed a SD memory card would do, but these seem to state that these cards are "postage stamp size" now to me a postage stamp would get lost in this slot! (UK Stamps) Are there different types of SD memory cards? or is there a standard size. I was thinking of buying an extra 64MB if the system will allow it. If someone could point me in the right direction to this matter i would be grateful.
Thanks

The Packard Bell does indeed have a SD/MMC slot. I would suggest eBay for cheep SD cards. If you don't want to do that then TigerDirect.com also has quite a selection of SD cards at very good prices. If you want to use a well know, dependable company that has been in the industry for a VERY long time try MobilePlanet.com they have everything for PDA's and laptops.
If you are going to get one some things to note. I have seen and heard of many problems with Sandisk brand. However, it is important to know that this may simpley be because they sell more SD cards than any other manufacturer (Panasonic is second). Currently the largest available to the general public is the 512mb card. The 1gb is available but not to the public at large and the 2gb will be available next year. If the slot was SDIO compatable (which it's not, sorry) then you could also use the Wifi and Bluetooth SD cards that are available. Some other SD cards out there are, bar code readers, camera's, and FM stereo's.
