So, so I tried my cool new Kingston SD memory for my PDA, and stored a general backup and a couple of individual files, and all seemed well. Then I took the card out and put it back in, and now when I turn the PDA on it asks me if I would like to format the card and lose all the data.

And, when I started to post this, I found a thread from long ago, but the demon in the machine wouldn't let me post a reply because the message was so old. So, going back to trying a new one.

I had hoped to be able to take out the card and read it with the desktop computer I use at work, thereby exchanging files without having to go through the whole sync process - i.e., not disturb the files that are sync'ed with my own computer. ???

I've heard a rumor that Kingston makes good memory, so I didn't immediately assume that the card had died, but maybe it has.

Thanks.

I have heard (and experienced) that some memory or even some pdas are fussy about what they use. There are brands out there that work...
