I am using a Toshiba e310, with a 128 MB SD card. All of the sudden, the SD card stopped working. I turned on my PPC one day, and it said "would you like to format your SD Card so you can use it with this system?" That scared me, of course, so I said no. Then I realized that I couldn't access any files on the card (none of the files showed up at all). So then I tried to let it fotmat it (I got that message [and still do] every time the device is turned on). No luck. It said "There was an error while trying to format your card (Error code 0). Anyone else have this problem before? Is my SD card just toast? Thanks!

I've got exactly the same problem!
Sandisk 128 MB SD Card and Toshiba E310.
The card did work fine on the first day - next day I got errors while writing some files with my Imation USB Card-Reader/Writer. After this the card was not accepted any more. Trying to format it brought the same error-message as you described. Formatting on my PC did not work either!

Exactly the same problem on my palm M515.

When I try to reformat it now, the screen just says formatting and nothing else happens even if you leave it for 6 hours like I did once. Had to do soft resets everytime just to get my palm working again.

Any ideas ?

I have the exact same problem. My card is 2 weeks old. Think I'll return it to Best Buy tonight. Any suggestions for a different brand?

Similar problem here, 1 week old 128MB Sandisk SD. got flakey one day and the next -
"would you like to format your SD Card so you can use it with this system?"
Now it is only recognized 25% of the time, and even then it won't format.

I got a 256mb SD card that failed after about a day. Same "would you like to format" problem. I returned it for a replacement, which worked for about an hour. I use the format for my digital camera and for moving files between my computer at home and work. I really need it, so I am going to try one last card, but then I am getting my money back until the format is more stable. I notice that in the documentation that came with the card, it says not to use it in any life support applications. No kidding! I cant even use it to carry simple image files.
