Pocket PC 2002 or ActiveSync issue

I have a Dell Axim X5 (mainstream) and every time I put the PDA on the cradle, it wants to sync items that it already has done before.
For example, I have 47 calander entries, 18 contacts, etc. Anyway, after I did a hard reset and it synced the inital time, everytime I put the PDA on the cradle, it wants to sync those same entries again. Instead of just looking for new entries, the sync gets treated as if it is the first time it has done it.
Any ideas what might be causing this. I am running Active Sync 3.6.

It looks for any changes in your contacts and everything and checks for whether you deleted them, so it checks them all every time. I think you're stuck that way.
