Anybody know how to upgrade Sony Clie PEG-N710C/N from OS 3.5 to 4 so that it can be syn to WindowsXP

I upgraded my palm desktop on my 710c and I can now sync with XP. Also, if you want the Palm OS upgrade so your 710 will be equivalent to the 760c, you are supposed to send it to Sony. I think they charge 50 bucks. But, I am trying to get this upgrade from someone right now (wink wink).

If updating your palm desktop doesn't work, email me and I'll see what else the problem could be since mine works. Also, I will post the link for the Palm OS upgrade if I get it.

Here's a Flash Rom upgrade utility with instructions and pics.

Use it at your own risk, i just downloaded it but i'm doing a little research to find out if this upgrade works absolutely fine.

This utility it's only for upgrading the Clie 710 to 760.

I have upgraded my palmdesktop. However i can not hot sync. what is the solution to this problem. I don't think Sony is very consumer friendly is this matter. Can anyone help with this XP-Sync Problem.

where can i find the palm desktop 3.5 for Clie 710C? i lost my given CD, and haven't been able to find it on any website. Half the time, i find upgrade/update softwares. Please advise.

Successfully upgraded by can't use the MS Import/Export feature. Anyone knows where can I get the driver? My palmdesktop is 4.0.1 and Palm OS is 4.1. I don't have the CD Rom of Clie706.

you have to have the update installed to find the USB drivers--good luck
