looking for a PDA max £200/$300 that succesfully syncs with microsoft office in particular outlook but also excel... ideally would also like something with a keyboard (like on the treo270 and that can handle MP3s..any clues about what to go for and what to avoid? cheers

As far as capability, all Pocket PC/Mobile PC based PDA's will do those things out of the box (except the keyboard). As for price, I would say you will get a lot of people saying the Dell is cheapest but I have had a lot of software issues come up with the Dell so I would recomend any of the other lower end PDA's. As for the keyboard I'm going to have to say your best bet would be to get an add on keyboard later like the ones for the iPaqs or Toshiba's. Try looking at MobilePlanet.com they have quite a selection with features on all.
