I am planning to get a PDA that I would use for reading text files and pdfs from my pc.
I do not have a need for colour or internet use. A recommendation on a PDA would help, I don't mind the cost, but the comfort of reading the screen display is most important.
Thanks...

If you just need a PDA for offline file viewing, I would recommend a Handspring Visor. A visor is fairly inexpensive, in terms of PDAs. The visor uses the Palm OS and can also sync with an Outlook contact list, if you use Outlook. Another slightly more expensive option would be the monochrome version of the Compaq iPAQ. iPAQs, which use the Microsoft PocketPC OS, are great because of their expandability and thier powerfull 206MHz processors. Plus, an iPAQ would also provide for you to be able to do more with a PDA, if you would ever need to in the future. I owned a Visor in the past and was very happy with it. Now I use a iPAQ 3650, and I am thoroughly satisfied with it. And of course, Adobe makes an Acrobat Reader for both the Palm OS and PocketPC.
Hope that helps.

I have a Clie N610C. You should really consider a PDA which you can add memory to.
Also, ALL the Handsprings have an OS that cannot at this time be upgraded & all have to use a 'sled' to add memory. Some later Palms, Handera and Sony have ability to add memory.Once you get your Palm OS pda, you should consider downloading "Deep Reader", which I think PalmGear has if not do a Google search.
It does a BEAUTIFUL job of font change and size; I have not run in on anything but my 320x320 pixel resolution on my Clie however.Wots of Wuck,
