palm505 hotsync problem

For some reason I can not copy files to my palm505. When I try to hotsync I get the message "Unable to initiate HotSync operation because the port is in use by another application". What has happened? Can someone please tell how to fix this nonsense and get my palm to Hotsync again? Thank you kindly if you can help. Nat

the same thing happened to me and i took it in to a store near where i live, st. louis, and they told me that i needed to buy a new one. i didnt have the cash, i'm only 14, but i sent it in with the rebate i had and they sent me a new one. try it, it worked for me!
