The green power button seems to be sticky. To turn the unit on/off, I have to push it a few times at different angles and pressure. Does anyone know of a fix? Can the unit be serviced (open)? Thanks!

We had the same problem at work, luckily for us the unit was still under warranty and Palm replaced it no problem.
See if yours is the same. :-)

After 6 months my power button stuck completely. The light remained on and any buttom pressed acted like it was pressed twice or you tapped the screen twice. Because the power button didn't work I was unable to do a hard reset. Plam replaced the buttom under warranty and now 9 months later I have an identical problem. Told Plam they sold me a lemon and I wanted it repaired free of charge. They refursed but offered me a small discount on the repair. Problem is I have zero confidence that I won't be in the same boat 6-9 months from now wven if I fix it. Unfortunately, I've got a lot of neat accessories for the Palm Vx.
I suspect this is a common problem and would like to hear how people resolved it with Palm.

Problem solved, no thanks to Palm T.S. The problem happen shortly after the contrast settings popped on my screen. the contrast button got stuck and messes up all the other buttons. Wiggle the contrast button to release it.
My note to Palm:
Second recurrence of a stuck power button. Your tech service sucks and
customer service is somewhat better.PDA Internet Forums are a much better source of technical info and my
hunch about this being a bigger problem than just my Vx is validated.in any event. My immediate problem was caused by a stuck contrast
button, which became unstuck upon wiggling. I thought you should know
this so that other unfortunate users with a similar problem can be
appropriately instructed and avoid the unnecessary aggravation and cost.
