I have dug my old Palm V out to start using again.
I have a problem with accessing the Digitiser so I can calibrate the stylus.
After a hard reset, setup (including the initial calibrating of the stylus - which goes OK) and then a re-sync to a new user ID, I am unable to access the Digitiser menu item in “Preferences”. When I use the stylus at this point, the target spot to access an item on the screen appears to be about an inch below the actual item on screen (for most, but not all items!!). Unfortunately the touch point for the drop down menu for the Digitiser (where it is currently showing “General”) also coincides with the “Set Time” item (but the “Cancel” button for the “Set Time” window is right at the bottom of the screen, directly below it, rather than the actual Cancel button itself!!!).
Can anyone advise how I can get around this to fix the problem?

Try downloading palm's newest OS, i believe its 4.1 and it works with palm V which can be downloaded on their website. Try that maybe it will fix it if not hey you upgraded it at least so its not that old. JUST BACKUP EVERYTHING, its like going from windows 95 to XP but it formatts it before it upgrades.

Thanks. I have tried to get hold of OS4.1 in the past - unfortunately I live in New Zealand and it seem I can only get the 4.1 OS via download if I live in the continental US (for heaven knows what reason!!!). However I did manage to solve this problem by downloading a great little freeware application called 'digifix' which, when installed, automatically brings up a calibration screen after a soft reset. If anyone else has this problem, visit freewarepalm.com/utilities/digifix.shtml and download it. I recommend it.
