Palm T3 Hotsync with XP problems

I have updated to the latest version of Palm Desktop but when I try and Hotsync to my T3 I receive an error message on my Laptop "USB Device not recognized...... On my T3 I get an error message as well.

There is a known problem with the Dell docking stations for the Palm Tungsten. If you plug the T-3 directly to the USB port on the laptop then this may fix that. The other alternative is to get a serial port converter, no this is not included with the Palm nor is it free to get from Palm.

Hi Rick I have done as you suggested and purchased a serial - usb cable but still cant get it to work. Do I need to load drivers, tell the computer anything?!!
