Hi there,
I've got an old, & very reliable Palm M515, I've been offered a Palm Tungsten E PDA, I know where & who it comes from so have no problem with its reliability as I have been informed.

Now, my M515 has more records/contacts than I can count!

My problem is, can I transfer all my data and contacts from my Palm M515 to this Palm Tungsten E PDA, and more importantly will I be gaining or loosing? - use an SD card?

I have no need to be able to connect to the internet with either machine so this is not a consideration.

At the moment I am using Palm Desktop v4.1.4 with an XP machine to keep all my backups, will I be able to carry on using this or do I need something else?

Sorry if this seems to go on a bit but I've had this offer, quite like the Tungsten BUT, I've got to be able to transfer everything over.

I will be very grateful for any help / advise,

all the best,

John

It's not that I can't remember things as I get older, it's just that my hard drive's full.

Very easy. Just install the Palm Desktop from the Tungsten on the same directory as the one you have. Then synch the Tungsten and select your existing user name. All of your data will automatically be copied to the Tungsten.
