Hi, I bought a clie pda (PEG-T615C)on ebay and it came with everything but the install disk. I know about the sony site and they only have updates. They emailed me this when I provided my serial # in an email aksing for palm desktop for download. "SONY does not post original software or drivers to our website, only updates. If you have lost or misplaced your CLIE installation CD, you may purchase replacements directly from the SONY Parts Center web site below. They will be able to inform you regarding the correct part number(s), price, shipping and product availability." I emailed them asking for a price and they gave me this link http://servicesales.sel.sony.com . They don't have the install disk for sale and they dont manufacture it anymore. So thats why Im asking anyone to please help me out. I dont want all the bonus crap on the cd just the palm desktop for clie software on it. I tried using the normal Palm desktop software but it doesn't work. I also wanted to say that if any of you guys set up a date with me to send me the files it's not illegal. If I was asking for any of the other software that palm or sony dont give away for free then it would be, but all I want is the Palm Desktop for Clie software. -Thanks-
Oh and another thing is that I dont think it matters what model you have as long as the software is Palm Desktop for Clie
Nevermind I tried using the palm desktop again and "it just worked" well thats what the mac users say.

I had a a PEG-T615C till last year. Something started happening to it so I had to exchange it under warranty for a SJ-30. However, I still have the original software CD that came with it. Contact me at chadbh74@hotmail.com, maybe I can send it to you.

Recently my desktop software stopped working as well... ?Coincidence?

This is a trend. I have had the exact same experience as the original poster (zero31). Sony tells me to go shop on their parts site but the PDA's are not even listed as a category.
Would anyone be nice enough to send the Palm Desktop kit?

i have exactly the same problem, i bought the Clie from Canada a year ago and have since lost the CD and changed my computer.
I live in the wales (UK).
Could anyone provide a copy of the CD?

Everyone just send me a list of what CD's you need and I will try to work with you to get them out. I charge $5 just to cover the disc and shipping (unlike Sony's $20-$30). The only issue is that I just moved across the country and everything is still in boxes so I will have to dig them up. However, if you send your requests to LinuxPDA@Bomely.com I will try to find them for you folks.
I currently have over 500 PDA's of all makes and models from the originals to the new ones so I am quite likely to have the disc you need. If the cd's are small enough to zip and you have an ftp server somewhere that I can upload them to then I won't charge you anything. Like I said, call me a hacker if you want but I just don't think things like the CD's you are entitled to have should cost $30. It's not like it cost's that much for Sony to make!
