Nino/Activesync crashing my PC

I have a Nino 300 hooked up on serial. When I run ActiveSync it will do one of two things. Sometimes itll search and not find anything on either COM port, no matter which port I have it on. Or itll search, then crash when it gets to the port it IS on. Any solutions?
