I'm having a similar problem. In an attempt to get more space, I must have deleted files I should not have on my 3635. I tried to reinstall Media Player 7.1 but get the follwoing message- "The connected device is not supported with this version of Windows Media Player. Please refer to Http://microsoft bla bla bla for more information on supported devices and downloads".

I've done a cold restart, upgraded Pocket PC 2002 but still get the above message.

I've posted to several forums but no one seems to be able to figure out what is wrong.

Is there another Media Player besides Microsofts that will work on the 3635?

Thanking you in advance for your help,

Mike

Hi Mike,

If you have Pocket PC 2002 Upgrade CD then it will have the mediaplayer 8.0, you can instal that and it will work on your PDA.

if you are having any problems in installing you can contact me.

Thanks,
Siva

Help! I saw an old message with the same problem, but no answer. I upgraded my iPaq 3600 to PPC2002 with the Compaq CD, and then installed Media Player 8 from the add-on folder. It won't play, though, despite un- and reinstalling the player. The error message is "Cannot find 'player' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and all the required libraries are available." Any clue to what is going on? Thanks (please email me the response as I am having a hard time accessing webpages - just email, thanks!).
