I recently upgraded from Win 98SE. The only problem I have is my wife's Palm M105. I can not get it to Hot Sync. I downloaded the newest version of sofware from Palm. I always get the messge that the connection between the handheld and the dsktop could not be established. I have tried all Comm Ports. I have unistalled and reintalled. I bought a new cable in the hopes SOMETHING could be wrong with that - no luck. Same message. I have done the soft reset several times. I am at my wit's end!! Can anyone hepl me?? I appreciate any help and send my thanks in advance.

Make sure that the Hotsync program is loading on startup and make sure it is set to look for your PDA on the Serial Com ports. By default the new version only looks for connections on the USB port. If it still can't find your handheld, you may need a new cable (e.g. the cable may have worn out on the inside), or a new PDA...the M105 is an old model and it should start having some problems with the touchscreen soon if its one of the really old ones from when they just came out.
