Does anyone know where I can get a new, or used, backing and screws for my HP Jornada 548?

I accedently dropped it and two screws popped out, which in turn destroyed the screw holders that held the backing on. I currently have the backing held on by only two screws, luckily on opposite corners. So what I need is the backing, I don't care about the color, and the four screews that hold it on. Can anyone point me to a place that sells them and has them in stock?

If you are still in need of Jornada parts send an email. I have a Jornada 548 in excellant condition that I retired a year ago when it's internal battery went dead. The unit is in excellant condition and comes with a 56k modem. I am asking $100 CAD plus shipping.

I broke an IC off on my Jornada, and was just wondering if anyone wants to take a stab at it. If you open up the back cover, there are 4 screw posts. The IC in question was just to the right of the lower-left screw post. It has 5 (maybe six) leads, and is above C40. I think it is stamped 7200B or 72008, can't tell... Any thoughts?

Thanks

Follow Up...

I got the parts from Fairchild semiconductor for this IC... It turns out that the part is NC7SZ00M5X, which is a 2-input NAND gate used for the screen. Look up the datasheet if you are interested. Now, the unit works perfectly.

Another problem now, similar to the first message in this thread, the backing has come loose because HP uses CHEAP hardware. Anyone have an extra backing (with or without screws)? I won't pay much for it, so don't bother trying to sell me anything for more than $20. HP does NOT support the Jornada anymore, which is a mistake since they would obviously make money doing it. Chalk another one up to bad planning...

Hope this helps anyone with similar problems...

Brandon
