IR transfer speeds

I have a problem regarding getting the IR transfer speed to match the speed i have set it to on the PC and PPC. Both speeds are set to FIR speeds of 115kbps. However the transfer speeds are nowhere near the speed quoted. It is closer to SIR speeds of 9.6kbps. Can anyone suggest a reason for this?

Summary: Recent version's of the HOTSYNC app have a provision for IR transfers (older versions may not though). So you should check the HOTSYNC app on the Visor and see if it already has IR transfer abilities....
