IPAQ utility for CF card

I just bought a compaq expansion pack and a CF card for my ipaq 3650. Now the oly way I can use it is either do a full backup or full restore to/from the card/ipaq. This can be done with a back utility which has been a program included with the ipaq.
Unfortunately this does not allow me to do selective backup/restore of data which I really need to do.
Could someone please advise me of a way that can happen using the current hardware that I have. Also you could let me know if there's any need to purchase any additional components if I must.
