IPAQ PDA not synching correctly

I am also having problems with my 3700 series. I have the activsync 3.5. My pocket pc was working fine one day then I recharged it and when I went to use it again it was back to the blank pc it was when I bought it. All the programs I put on were gone. I went to sync it and I now get that The following unrecoverable error has occured: The MAPISVC.INF file is missing please click finish. I am also trying to add all the programs that I downloaded on it before and I am not able to do that as it says that it cannot add the program as there are files missing.

Try downloading activesync 3.6 at microsoft.com/pocketpc. If it is a handheld application, try finding that software off the manufacturers web site and reinstall thesoftware. If it doesn't work, try my first suggestion.
Summary: ok rick check this out will the ipaq sync via serial or usb... thank is the first thinkg to know try also instead of sync try and see if just put the ipaq in front of the ir port will it recognize it...
