Well heres the thing, i have and iPAQ 3630 and it works fine... IF its on the charger, when you go to remove it, it just shuts off. The battery charger (supposebly) and says nothing when its done. It shows the 0-100 bar charging untill about 2 hours later and then it stops it doesnt show anything at all. this confuses me a lot. i've tried charging it without the sleeve they send with it and such and it makes no difference, i even took the back off to check to see if the batter was in fact connected to the board itself and it was, so i removed it-blew it off- then replaced everything and it still has the SAME problem. So i set it up to get one of the new batteries that supposed to give it 2.5-3x the life it did have in hopes that will solve it. While i am waiting for them to get back to me about shipping i was wondering if anyone else has an suggestions while the devise is still in my hands... thanks
Josh,

I have several ipaq 3650's with battery expansion packs. None will hold a charge anymore. HP called me yesterday and quoted me with $199 cdn for the internal battery and $280 cdn for the expansion pack (oh yes, and the $30 for shipping and inspection.)

I told them it was cheaper to buy a Palm - and that's exactly what I'm going to do from now on.

They've lost my future business.

Same problem here with my H3630 after only one and a half year. Works fine in the cradle and dies when you take it our. HP/Compaq Japan charges JPY 57,000 USD 475 (yes!!!!) for repair.

There goes another customer......

No decent battery replacement for an IPAQ that costed 7-800$. What is this HP ? Come on ... :/

Well... If this is how you treat us customers ... Goodbye HP. Never again .... And I will lobby my own organisation of 5000 employees NOT to choose IPAQ. Siemens look good..

Hi,

I have a IPAQ 3630 that I have had for about a 1 1/2 years. I sold it on ebay and was charging the battery and then was going to cut of the switch. After two hours, it does not hold a charge. I have had it laying around for 3 months with no power but it still should hold a charge.

I am going to charge it overnight and if it doesn't hold the charge, I am going to have to refund the money from the person who purchased it.

It really pisses me off after seeing there is no cheap battery replacements. I am never buying from HP again.
