IPAQ 3850 saying connecting contantly, running with active sync 3.5 and windows xp. upgarded rom to v1.2. Reinstall active sync and works but next day same problem put into cradle and says connecting arrows go round and round?? tryed it in a new cradle smae problem.

i support IPAQ's at work and at times they can be fussy synching. at work i think that the problem is the os (NT 4.0), and that we are using notebooks and docking stations. what hardware are u using?
If using a com connection, connect at a lower speed.

I find when this happens to me, I have to turn off the Ipaq go into task manager-> processes, and end the process 'wcescomm', this shoud stop the active sync all together. Then restart the Active sync program, and turn on the ipaq.

I had this problem, when my ipaq 3870 would not connect properly with my laptop. I cured it by connecting the ipaq usb cable directly to the laptop, rather than through the bus extender. MS dont recomend using USB hubs either.
