Dear Sir, I im willing to design software application for the PocketPC iPAQ3850. I am writing down my requirements, please advice me that would this model fullfill my reqs or i shuld go for some other. 1. Can i run visual basic designed software on ipaq3850 2. How can i connect this to my phone line, does it have any builtin modem or some external modem is to be attached. (please mention details of that modem) 3. Can i use that modem thru Visual baisc6 just like im using my PC's modem, i.e. controlling the comport. 4. Does the PDA need any special patch to be installed to run Vb designed software. iF so then plese inform me from where can i get that patch. 5. Can i use MsOffice on it. 1.Yes you can run visual basic programs but you need to make them in the pocket PC edition of visual basic (runs on desktop PC) 2.I think you should beable to get a pcmcia jacket and plug in a pcmcia modem (not 100% sure on that one 3.Dont see why you should not beable to access the com port via bisual basic 4.The patch (runtime) will be installed via active sync when you try to run the program from desktop PC on the PDA 5.you can use Pocket power point,Pocket word and Pocket excell usually come with windows on the PDA
