Hi,
My iPAQ 3850 experienced a very starnge problem today. I connected it to my desktop (running Windows ME) for syncing/charging and then turned the iPAQ off after syncing was complete.
Then, I removed the iPAQ from the cradle, and the blinking light that indicates charging kept blinking! Also, I couldn't start the iPAQ but had to hit the reset button. Then I checked my WinME system, and it was hanging like crazy. This only seems to happen sometimes.

Hi Chip
I have the same charging problem with my Ipaq 3850. It hangs as well and the charge light keeps blinking when you remove it from the cradle. I'm running win98 and it even happens when the computer is off. Are you docking through a USB hub? Let me know if you find anything else out. Thanks.

So, the best advice seems to be... don't turn it off while it is charging and your PC is running (I have not had the problem when the PC is turned off).
