Okay, I purchased a Radio Shack DigiTraveler GPS receiver specifically for an iPAQ 3835. The manual (one sheet) says to use the Settings feature and select Com 1. But in the dropdown there is only Com 3 and Com 4? I have tried EVERYTHING. Com 1 appears to be reserved for a modem - but I don't have a modem, I don't have any hardware installed and this is the first software I've installed. Installation of software on my laptop and hand held was just fine - but when trying to connec to the GPS device - "No GPS device detected...."
I would really appreciate any advice or information relative to this problem.
