IPAQ 3670 not syncing

Every once in a while I have issues with my IPAQ 3670.
Right now it's not syncing when i place it in its cradle (connected via USB). I read in another forum that if I did a hard reset and replaced it in the cradle, it would sync.
Well, it's been reset, but it definitely has not synced.
Anyone else encounter this problem? Any suggestions?

Do a "backup" on the PDA and then try to synch again. Don't know why, but this has worked twice on different PDAs. The original PDA message was a "critical error 8" message. Doing the backup fixed the problem.

I was having the same problem with mine and finally uninstalled the active sync then re-installed it on the computer & it seems to work fine.
