I've got myself an Ipaq 3630 from Ebay, which is my first venture into the world of PDAs, and I've got lots of questions. Forgive my ignorance, but I'm need of some help as the unit did not come with a manual. I've been able to sync and get my contacts into the PDA through Outlook, but I'd now like to get Word and Excel and MP3 files into it - can anyone tell me how this is done? Also, I've been told I need to upgrade it to PPC2002 to allow a wireless CF card to browse the web at hotspots - some CF card manufacturers claim that CE v3 is sufficient, others say I need PPC2002 - any idea which is correct? If I do upgrade, and get a PPC2002 CD, how do I physically upgrade it? TIA

With your Ipaq in the cradle, you should be able to go into Moblie Device via Windows Explorer and see the folders available for your handheld. At this point, you copy over files the same way you would to any folder.
No idea whether an OS upgrade is necessary to use your particular CF card, but the upgrade is performed the same way the Active Sync sofware is installed. You need to obtain the upgrade CD, and allow it to AUTOPLAY with your handheld in it's cradle. It's fairly self-explanatory, as it presents you with minimal options to avoid confusion.
