hey! i've got myself a nokia 8250 and it supports infa-red... thing is my computer doesnt have a port on it. After looking at the mainboard there's IR pins marked
*IR Data Output
*GND
*IR Data Input
*NC
*VCC (+5V)
because i dont wanna fork out money to buy a proper port, i was wondering if it would be possible to wack on a IR TX led and a IR RX led to the pins, without any fancy gagets or anything... would that work? if so could someone post where which pins connect where, or is there any way of making my own IR port for my Desktop PC. the type of mainboard is "VIA 693A ATX". Thanks guys! you rock!!
