ikernel.exe is the Installshield scripting engine ... if you go here www.installshield.com and search their knowledge base for ikernel.exe you should find an article devoted to troubleshooting this error.

I get the same trouble(The InstallShield Engine(iKernel.exe) could not be lunched), and I find the IE can't print and open with new window.anyone know why? My system is win2k.

Soulution: All the zip files must be extracted for the exe to work, NOT ONLY THE SETUP.exe FILE. Do this by copying the whole content to a different folder. Then click on the setup.exe
